Formal Wear

Formal clothing is often designed using delicate fabrics such as silk, velvet, crepe, organza, and more.

Before cleaning, we evaluate each piece. Depending on the fabric and ornamentation, the proper solvent and process is then selected. To clarify, gentle solvents will protect a garment’s natural fibers and revive their innate colors and textures. Similarly, a more relaxed process works best for wedding gowns and other embellished couture items.

We routinely inspect every piece of clothing for problem areas and give special attention when and where it is needed.

Bedding & Linen

From professional stain removal procedures to delicate hand-laundering techniques, your duvets, blankets and sheets deserve the very best.

We pay special attention to embroidery, lace trim, scalloped edges, delicate quilting, and all the other nuances prevalent in fine linens.

Leather

For most items, we provide a cleaning and then finishing phase; this consists of replenishing the oils ,which are depleted from the skin in the normal course of cleaning. Our promise is to return your leather garments as close to its original texture and color as possible.

Alterations needed? Proud Cleaners offers you an unsurpassed team of artisans for your tailoring and alterations. Whether you require a hemline shortened or an heirloom remodeled, you will find our alterations staff to be considerate and quite knowledgeable.

Please be aware that not all stains may be able to be lifted by a professional dry cleaner. Also, a gown should definitely be a size relatively close to your. Although alterations can provide amazing results, major changes can sometimes dramatically change the look of a gown.

Alterations

Our tailors and seamstresses take great pride in their work. First, they recommend a conversation or in-person consultation. All alterations are priced by the actual work – not by the visits.

Without seeing you in-person wearing your garment, we cannot properly assess your needs. For example, some wedding gowns have boning; this may complicate the dress being taken-in. It can certainly be done, but this is something a tailor or seamstress would take into consideration.

Most simple requests (e.g. hems, waist adjustments, etc.)can be handled by our counter staff.

Rugs and Carpets

While it is impossible to keep your upholstery, carpets and window treatments looking their best daily, dirt and stains don’t have to be permanent fixtures in your house. We will leave your items looking and feeling good as new.
